Maintenance Agreements
The days of paying
large fixed annual fees for all-encompassing maintenance
contracts are long gone.
Most computers and peripherals are now considered to be
disposable items. Being tied into an expensive
maintenance contract to keep old equipment up and
running at greater expense than replacing it is an
outdated and uneconomical concept. Because of this we
have developed two maintenance contracts which offer
both a cost saving over fixed contracts, whilst having
the advantages of guaranteed response times, guaranteed
engineer availability, technical support and so on.
There are two types
of maintenance contract that we normally offer:
Flexible
Maintenance Agreement
Based on the principle of saving
our clients money, a flexible agreement offers the peace
of mind of guaranteed response times, free general
telephone technical support, with limited networking
telephone support, and lower engineers on-site charges,
all for a low fixed monthly retainer.
It has the
advantage of not tying a client into a complicated and
expensive contract,
although no hardware is covered in the agreement.
If a hardware failure happens, we will either advise
replacement or repair, depending on the situation.
Often, it is cheaper to simply replace old, faulty
computer equipment than it is to spend engineer’s time
trying to repair it. As a result, costs that would
otherwise have been tied up in a hardware maintenance
contract can be used to continually upgrade systems as
they fail.
The Flexible
maintenance agreement is our most popular, and it is
easy to see why so many of our clients are using it.
Pre Pay
Maintenance Agreement
This agreement offers the same
guaranteed response times and support, however a client
purchases an amount of engineers time in advance. As the
time is purchased in advance, we offer reduced hourly
rates as a thank you.
The way a
pre-pay maintenance agreement works is simple: As
problems occur, any on-site time required is taken off
the Pre-paid amount, until it is used at which point
more time can be purchased. As above,
no computer hardware is directly covered
by this agreement.
Prevention is
Better Than Cure
For companies who do not have a
dedicated IT Manager, we also offer pre-arranged general
maintenance visits. For example; a two-hour or half day
monthly or quarterly visit will assist with diagnosing
and resolving day-to-day problems. During the visit we
could also carry out essential checks such as ensuring
your backup is working correctly or inspect your UPS to
ensure it will work when you most need it. These visits
are essential for companies who need their IT equipment
to run effectively. During these visits we will also
advise as to any problems or issues that we may foresee
and help you plan to avoid them. |
